A Can and Will Do sheet is now available here!

I've also made the song leaders wiki a part of the main wiki here. I'm hoping that was a good idea, because I want to simplify as much as I can.

The new website appears to be working out well. There's new content, and I encourage others to contribute more. There's more sermon audio, too, including some recent ones. I'll be adding more soon, Lord willing.

The Members' section seems to be working well, with a prayer list that I've been keeping up to date. The song leaders' site now incorporates the new look as well.

I welcome feedback on all the changes, as well as ideas for more we can do with the site.

I've mostly finished transitioning to the new website. Most of the content is the same. The Can and Will Do sheet is not finished, but I don't think anyone ever used it (maybe...once?)

There's a powerful new tool for writing/editing markdown () that I'm considering using for the church website, to make changes that much easier. Unfortunately, PMWiki, doesn't use markdown, so that would require an additional recipe. But it's interesting.

I'm upgrading my home internet. The good news is that it's much faster. The bad news is that I can't host this website at home anymore.

Therefore the website is now hosted elsewhere, but that elsewhere should be faster too. This is requiring a number of fixes, some of which might have been broken before. Let me know if you notice any problems.

I've added a wiki to the site, wiki.oregoncitychurchofchrist.org, that should aid our song leaders in preparing Sunday morning slideshows. It's a growing collection of songs in English and Spanish. And any of our song leaders or other invested members can add songs, edit out any mistakes, reformat them to make them easier to put into slideshows, or add details that might be useful.

I neglected to post a few months ago when I finished my revisions to the website and switched it over to PHP. I've not done much beyond maintaining it since.

I've tried to create an automatic system for reporting website problems, but unfortunately it's not working right. If you find problems with the website, please let me know.

I've not updated the website much since the last post in February. I finally restored the website in February with a new motherboard and processor, but behind the scenes I've been working (off and on) to convert the site over to PHP, because I've found the existing ASP difficult to maintain. I've almost finished this process, and you can see a preview of this by clicking here. What you'll likely notice, though, is that nothing has changed cosmetically. That's because I wanted the site essentially working as-is before I made any cosmetic changes.

Chad will be helping me with this process once I've come up-to-speed a little more on PHP. He will know what to do to make the website look much better, and we'll probably add a lot more functionality as well. I'll also be working to get some of the pages converted to Spanish, a long-overdue addition to the site in keeping with our recent outreach effort to the Spanish-speaking community.

More news on all of this when there's anything to report. Stay tuned!

I think I have achieved what I set out to do originally. I have made this the home page until the site is back up and running. I believe that the problem lie in the motherboard or processor of the webserver, and so I have replaced those. I'm working to bring the original system back up.

I have encountered problems switching the update blog to www.oregoncitychurchofchrist.org, but I have been able to replace it with a cheesy Google Page Creator page, that links to this blog. Perhaps that's how you found it.

I apologize for the outage yesterday. I was upgrading another website, and somehow partially crashed the server without recognizing it. Fortunately, it only required a reboot.

My office is being remodeled, so I apologize that the website was intermittently down last week. There will probably be continued intermittent outages over the next two months. Thank you for your patience.

The website has been down for a little over a day. I upgraded my hardware, and it wiped out some of my settings (without my knowledge.)

Please contact me (the webmaster) if you encounter further outages or problems, but the current situation should be resolved.

I've added a new Announcements page because sometimes there are church announcements that aren't really scheduled events. These will appear above the events on the home page and on the new Announcements page.

I've created a blog (What is a blog? Click here for details) for the purposes of announcing updates to the Oregon City church website. When I am able to add to new pages or features, I will announce them on this page, so that regular visitors to our site can check them out.
